Spring 2022 Updates/COVID-19

Positive Test with symptoms
(regardless of vaccination status)

ISOLATION REQUIRED.  Do not come to campus or an off-campus work/in-person learning activity location for a minimum of ten days. The day you started feeling symptoms or tested positive (whichever comes first) is considered day zero.

Fresno State Student Housing resident:   Immediately notify Student Housing at (559) 278-2677.

Employees:  Notify your supervisor.

Submit a COVID Report.

Vaccinated:  Positive home rapid (antigen) tests are acceptable to confirm the positive diagnosis.

Unvaccinated:   You must get tested at the campus testing facility located at the Student Recreation Center to confirm the positive diagnosis.  Home rapid (antigen) tests do not provide needed documentation, and therefore are not acceptable to confirm the positive diagnosis.  If you test positive at the campus testing facility, that test collection date is “day zero”.

You may exit isolation:

  • Ten (10) days after you test positive (day zero) without further testing.
  • If you test negative after five (5) days with a rapid antigen test from the campus testing center at the Student Recreation Center (Mon- Fri. 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.). You may exit isolation as early as day six (6) with a negative test.
