COVID-19 Updates

Notification of potential workplace COVID-19 exposure

Dear Colleagues,

Fresno State has been notified that an individual infected with COVID-19 was present at the following locations:

University Police Department (January 6 and 7, 2021)
Student Recreation Center (January 6, 2021)

If you were present at these worksite locations during the time periods provided, please note that an exposure investigation is underway. If it is determined that you were in close contact with the infected individual, you will be contacted directly by Environmental Health and Safety. A close contact is defined as having close contact (within 6 feet) for 15 minutes or more during a 24-hour cumulative period with a person who tested positive for COVID-19.

As an employee, if you are required to quarantine or become ill because of COVID-19, you may be entitled to various leave-related benefits under applicable federal and state laws and University-specific policies and agreements. If you believe you contracted a COVID-19-related illness as a result of your employment, you may be entitled to workers' compensation benefits.
