COVID-19 Updates
CSU Interim Vaccination Policy - Reminder Oct. 27 Deadline
Oct. 26, 2021
Dear Fresno State Employees,
Thank you to many of you who have already completed your Self-Certification form and uploaded your proof of vaccination. To date, 85% of our employees (State and Auxiliary) are fully vaccinated and 89% of our students are either fully or partially vaccinated. This is really good news and such an important element in helping keep our campus community safe.
As a reminder, the CSU COVID-19 Vaccination Interim Policy requires all students and employees to either be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or attest to a valid medical or religious exemption. The following represented employees must complete the Self-Certification Form in the MyFresnoState Portal by the following due dates:
- October 27: CSUEU (Units 2, 5, and 9), UAPD (Unit 1), CFA (Unit 3), and UAW (Unit 11)
- November 26: Teamsters Local 2010 (Unit 6)
Faculty and staff who have yet to complete the Self-Certification process will be receiving a personal email today as a final reminder about their compliance requirement.
Please be advised that failure to comply with the Self-Certification requirement by the required due date will result in progressive disciplinary action in accordance with CSU policies and the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
We appreciate your support and cooperation with these policy requirements. If you have any questions about this policy or your responsibilities to ensure compliance, please contact AVP for Human Resources Marylou Mendoza-Miller (maryloum@csufresno.edu) or Interim AVP for Faculty Affairs Jim Schmidtke (jmschmidtke@csufresno.edu).
Sincerely,
Xuanning Fu, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Debbie Adishian-Astone, Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer
