COVID-19 Updates

Finishing fall semester healthy and strong!

Nov. 29, 2021

Dear Campus Community,

Welcome back! I hope you had a restful Thanksgiving break, with renewed energy to finish this semester strong.

I would like to remind you to use the free COVID-19 testing services that are available on-campus to every Fresno State student, faculty and staff member. It is especially important to get tested as soon as possible, especially if you traveled during the holiday break or if you were together with family and friends. Testing on campus is easy, quick and convenient. And for those who have exemptions on medical or religious grounds, weekly testing is required.

Testing at Fresno State is a tremendous benefit, and keeps you and our community healthy.

Before coming to campus each day, please remember to complete the online daily screening and continue the practices that have promoted our campus community’s overall good health: wear a mask and wash your hands frequently.

It’s also very important that you do not come to campus and stay home and if you feel unwell with any of the following common COVID-19 symptoms:

  • Fever or chills
  • Muscle or body aches
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • New or worse fatigue or headache
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Respiratory conditions that are different or worse from an existing condition, including:
    • Cough
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Sore throat
    • Congestion or runny nose

As a University, we have accomplished so much. Together, we will successfully finish out the semester healthy and strong! Thank you for your ongoing efforts and care for your Bulldog family.

Sincerely,

Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, Ph.D.
President
