COVID-19 Updates
Mask Requirement and At-Home Rapid Antigen Tests
February 14, 2022
Dear Campus Community,
The State has announced that it will lift the temporary universal indoor mask mandate on February 16. Fresno State will continue to require a mask (surgical grade or better) indoors at all times. This requirement is in alignment with California Department of Public Health recommendations for educational and high-risk settings.
If you need a mask there are several centrally located supply locations noted on the COVID website. Departments may request supplies through the warehouse order form.
The campus has a limited supply of at-home self administered COVID-19 Rapid Antigen tests. These tests are intended to be used at home when experiencing symptoms, and are an important tool for early detection to help keep our campus community safe. Beginning Tuesday February 15, home test kits will be available at the following locations: Student Recreation Center COVID Testing Center, Student Health and Counseling Center, Student Housing - Atrium, and the University Student Union. We are limiting one kit per person, which includes two tests (while supply lasts).
As a reminder, employees who are not fully vaccinated, including those with exemptions for medical or religious reasons, are required to complete weekly COVID-19 testing at the Student Recreation Center testing site. Weekly PCR tests are available to all current students, faculty and staff, at no cost.
Thank you for doing your part by following the campus policies to keep our community safe.
Kind Regards,
Debbie Adishian-Astone
Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer
