Memo to Managers About Employees on Campus
Posted on March 23, 2020
Dear Fresno State family,
It has been so inspiring these last few weeks to see our campus community come together for the greater good, and the demonstrated support and care for one another, most importantly our students. While we are definitely missing the energy and vitality of nearly 29,000 people on campus every day, we are adjusting and appreciate very much our colleagues whose duties and responsibilities require them to continue to work on campus to provide essential services.
As a small token of our gratitude and appreciation, President Castro has approved funding for our Dining Services team to provide “To Go” meals (breakfast burritos and box lunches) for those employees who continue to work on campus.
For the week of March 23, meals will be available on Tuesday, March 24 and Thursday, March 26. Starting the week of March 30, meals will be provided on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays until the end of the academic semester or until further notice, depending upon any change to current campus operations as a result of the COVID-19 situation.
Breakfast will be available for pick up during the hours of 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and box lunches may be picked up between 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the University Dining Hall (east side). It will be on a first-come, first-served basis, with one meal per employee. We have planned to have enough meals based upon the number of employees currently working on campus.
Please know how much you are valued and that we are doing our best to support you in any way we can. Together we will get through this.
