Mask-Wearing Requirement on Campus

Dear Campus Community,

The campus is aware of the latest CDC guidelines issued May 13, which relax the restrictions on mask-wearing for those who have received COVID-19 vaccinations. However, this new guidance does not overrule state or local public health mandates. Wearing of facial masks will continue to be required while on campus because of California regulations.

Current CDPH guidance states that fully vaccinated persons, face coverings are not required outdoors except when attending crowded outdoor events, such as live performances, parades, fairs, festivals, sports events or other similar settings.

As soon as we have updated guidance from the state and Fresno County, we will update the campus community via email and through the Fall 2021 Repopulation/COVID-19 website and the updated and extensive FAQs.
