COVID-19 Updates
New Daily Screening Process for Those on Campus This Fall, Beginning Aug. 17
Aug. 12, 2020
Dear Students and Colleagues,
Please note the following information is applicable only to students and faculty who will be on campus for the fall 2020 semester for in-person classes, and to staff (including student assistants) who are currently working on campus this summer or have been approved to return to work on campus this fall semester.
Beginning Monday, Aug. 17, the campus will conduct required daily health screenings
and temperature checks for anyone who will be coming on campus on weekdays during
the fall semester.
Prior to arriving on campus each day, students, faculty and staff should complete
the daily screening questionnaire on their mobile device or print the completed web-based form from home. (The daily
health screening tool is easily accessed on the fall 2020 website and through the Fresno State app. For iOS devices, download the app in the Apple App Store. For Android devices, download the app in Google Play.)
Once you have completed the screening, if you received a green check mark with the
date and time of the screening, then please take a screenshot of the confirmation
in order to show to our public-safety staff at the checkpoint.
If you receive a red check mark, please do not come to campus, but proceed to contact
your medical provider (and your immediate supervisor if you are faculty or staff).
After completing the screening, you will need to check in at one of the following
checkpoints before arriving on campus each day for class or work:
Between 7 a.m. to noon
- Maple Circle (off Shaw Ave.)
- Matoian/Backer
- Maple/San Ramon
- Campus Drive Circle (off Barstow Ave.)
- Jackson/Keats
Between 12:01 and 7 p.m. (On Fridays, these checkpoints will close at 4 p.m.)
- Maple Circle (off Shaw Ave.)
- Campus Drive Circle
Please refer to the campus map for locations.
If you arrive to work before the checkpoints are open, please drive (vehicle or golf
cart) to one of the checkpoints promptly at 7 a.m.
At the checkpoint, please show your green checkmark, have your temperature taken,
and then you will receive a uniquely colored sticker for that particular day. Please
display that sticker in a visible spot on your clothing throughout your time on campus
on that specific day, and refrain from sharing it with others. If you are not wearing
the sticker, you may be asked to proceed back to one of the checkpoints or leave campus,
out of respect for the safety and welfare of others.
Managers will be responsible for ensuring that employees who are working on campus
complete the screening process and that they are displaying the appropriate daily
sticker.
Thank you for your cooperation in adhering to public-health measures throughout the
campus as a way to protect your health and that of our campus community.
Sincerely,
Debbie Adishian-Astone
Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer
