Information Regarding CR/NC Grading Option for Fall 2020
Aug. 20, 2020
Attention Fresno State Students:
Fresno State is extending the option for students to change their fall 2020 courses to the CR/NC grading option. All undergraduate and graduate students will be able to complete this action in their Student Center beginning the first day of instruction on August 19, 2020.
For some students, it is important to understand that a CR/NC option can impact their long-term financial aid. Please review the FAQ before submitting the request. Connecting to an advisor is critical throughout this process. If you have questions, or if you are unclear as to what impact CR/NC may have on future semesters, please reach out to your college advising center.
Students can choose on a course-by-course basis which courses they would like to convert to a CR/NC grade. Prior to submitting your request you should review the list of courses that have opted-out of allowing students to request a CR/NC grade.
Visit the Office of the University Registrar website for more information and a step-by-step guide to change the grading option in your student center.
The deadline to change your grading option for fall 2020 is Wednesday, December 9th. During the period between Wednesday, August 19th and Wednesday, December 9th you may log back into your Student Center at any time to change your grading option to/from the CR/NC and Letter Grade options.
If you are enrolled through the Continuing and Global Education office (i.e. Open University), please contact them at 559.278.0333 or cgeinfo@csufresno.edu.
Thank you and best of luck with your semester.
Sincerely,
Dr. Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
Dr. Carolyn Coon, Dean of Students and Acting Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management
