COVID-19 Mandatory Testing Program - Update
Aug. 27, 2021
Colleagues,
This communication is updated as of August 27, 2021
As a reminder, all Fresno State employees have been asked to voluntarily complete the COVID-19 Self-Certification form available through your My Fresno State portal, under Employee Self Service. We strongly encourage everyone to complete this as soon as possible, but not later than September 30 in accordance with the CSU Interim COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.
COVID-19 MANDATORY EMPLOYEE TESTING PROGRAM
The mandatory employee testing program applies to all employees including Managers, Staff, and Faculty in accordance with CSU systemwide Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).
Employees who are fully vaccinated and voluntarily provide proof of vaccination will not be required to do weekly testing. All applicable employees who have not completed their Self-Certification form by August 29 (including proof of vaccination) in My Fresno State portal will receive an email the week of August 30 about the mandatory weekly employee testing program. Employees can upload their proof of vaccination at any time in order to opt-out of the mandatory testing program.
Regardless of vaccination status, no employee is required under this employee testing
program to provide proof of vaccination. However, employees who do not provide proof
of vaccination will be considered unvaccinated and will be required to comply with
the mandatory weekly testing.
Employees will be allowed to do their COVID-19 test during work hours and paid accordingly.
These weekly tests are being provided by a third-party provider at no cost to employees.
For location and times, please visit the COVID-19 Testing section of the University COVID-19 website.
