COVID-19 Updates

Important Reminder: COVID-19 Testing Requirement (Employees)

10/1/2021

Dear Fresno State Employees:

Thank you to those of you who have been diligent in complying with the weekly testing requirement. As a follow up to our communication to you on Sept. 8, employees who are not fully vaccinated, including those with exemptions for medical or religious reasons, are required to follow the campus Mandatory Testing Program and get tested weekly. There are no exceptions to this requirement unless an employee has indicated on their Self-Certification form that they will not be on-campus at any time this semester.

Employees who are fully vaccinated can voluntarily upload their proof of vaccination at any time in order to opt-out of the Mandatory Testing Program.

Testing is available Monday through Saturday in the Satellite Student Union (SSU). No appointments are necessary. Compliance with this Mandatory Testing Program is essential in order to help ensure the health and safety of our campus community. Employees are able to complete their testing during work hours, at no cost. In addition, students and employees who are vaccinated are also able to get tested at no cost once a week.

Email reminders are being sent to employees who are required to complete the weekly testing. Employees who fail to comply with the Mandatory Testing Program could be subject to progessive disciplinary action in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

For more information about Fresno State’s Mandatory Testing Program, please see the Fall 2021 Mandatory COVID-19 Testing website and the COVID-19 FAQs. Additionally, the Fall 2021 Repopulation/COVID-19 website is updated regularly with important resources.

As a reminder, Fresno State requires that face coverings be worn indoors and that the Daily Health Screening Questionnaire be completed in advance of coming to campus.

Thank you for doing your part in protecting yourself and our campus community.

Sincerely,

Debbie Adishian-Astone, Vice President for Administration and Chief Financial Officer

Xuanning Fu, Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs.
