COVID-19 Updates

Reminder - Campus COVID-19 Resources

May 10, 2022

Dear Campus Community,

As we enter the final few weeks of the semester, we are encouraging everyone to continue to be diligent in regards to possible exposure to COVID-19 as we want to help keep our campus community safe and healthy.

COVID-19 Isolation and Quarantine Guidelines

Our COVID-19 website is a valuable resource for current guidelines for when you need to isolate or quarantine. The campus will continue to follow these guidelines until further notice even though there may be updates from the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) or Cal-OSHA.

COVID-19 PCR Testing

Our COVID Testing Center is free for our entire campus community, and we strongly encourage you to visit our testing center website. As a reminder, in accordance with the CSU’s Interim COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, all employees and students (including those who participate in Summer 2022 coursework) who have attested to a medical or religious exemption (including those who are booster eligible) are required to test weekly at the COVID-19 Testing Center.

Home Test Kits

We have free at-home Rapid Antigen tests still available at the Student Recreation Center (COVID Testing Center), Student Health and Counseling Center and Student Housing - Atrium.  We are quality controlling our remaining inventory as we know some kits were defective. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Masks

While masks are not required, we would strongly encourage their use, as face coverings are still a valuable tool in the fight against COVID-19, especially in large group settings. If you are planning to attend commencement activities at the Save Mart Center, masks are highly encouraged. Masks are available at the locations noted on the COVID website

Note: In accordance with CDPH requirements, individuals working and/or receiving services inside any campus medical facility and/or clinic (e.g. Student Health and Counseling Center; Gait, Balance and Mobility Clinic; Speech and Hearing Clinic) are required to continue following the clinic’s face covering requirements.

Thank you for continuing to be diligent as we look forward to many end of year activities and commencement events.

Sincerely,

Xuanning Fu

Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs
