COVID-19 Updates
Updated COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation Protocols
July 27, 2022
Dear Campus Community,
We have updated our COVID-19 Quarantine and Isolation protocols to align with recent updates from the Fresno County Department of Public Health (FCDPH), California Department of Public Health, and Cal-OSHA.
Effective immediately, the changes are outlined below:
- Quarantine is no longer required if you are exposed to someone with COVID-19, as long as you remain without symptoms, and do not test positive. See updated guidance on the campus COVID-19 website for details.
- Rapid AntigenTest kits can now be used for testing regardless of vaccination status. Applicable protocols are included on the guidance page, and specific guidance for your situation will be provided via email after you submit a COVID-19 report. Rapid Antigen Test kits are available at the following locations: Lab School 133 (COVID Testing Center), Student Health and Counseling Center, Student Housing - Atrium, Library, and the University Student Union.
Please continue to:
- Complete the Daily Health Screening tool prior to leaving home. It has been updated to reflect the new changes in quarantine requirements. If you receive a RED X, stay home and submit a COVID-19 report.
- Submit a COVID-19 report following an exposure, development of symptoms and/or if you test positive.
- Visit the COVID-19 Quarantine/Isolation guidance page for general guidance about what to do if you are exposed, have symptoms, and/or have tested positive.
Managers: Please remember to forward this message to student assistants in your department.
If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Environmental Health and Safety/Risk Management at 559.278.7422 or EHSRMSRequest@listserv.csufresno.edu.
Additional information in regards to COVID-19 testing and policy compliance will be provided in August prior to the start of the fall 2022 semester.
Sincerely,
Debbie Adishian-Astone
